The parts of your personality that have the power to repeatedly take control and hijack your behavior appear to come from inner wounding. The part thinks it is protecting the wound (like a bullet proof vest) from a threat. At some point in life the threat was real, and the behavior was developed to helpfully protect feelings, but usually now the part’s script is stuck in the past, and the present is not perceived clearly.
To become free of these parts, transcend their behavior. This begins by becoming conscious of the part’s script and behavior programme, by examining it and the way it has played out in your life.
Now, say NO as it tries to hijack your present moment. Then go deep into the body, take off the bullet proof vest and say YES to the feelings that are found. Feel them, listen to what they have to say, dis-cover and allow the original hurt to reveal itself.
